Weeks ago I stumbled upon something pretty interesting, informative, and overall awesome. In turn I was inspired to create my own.
A blog called All Things Go posted an “A to Z” of Sufjan Stevens and oddly enough, the author was inspired via another blog! How rad! So let’s keep this little idea going with an artist you are into yeah? Click here to see Sufjan Steven’s A to Z.
Anyways, mine is of (of course) Daryl Palumbo. Here you will find some MP3’s and some general information you may not know about Mr. Palumbo. Of course to the die-harders… it’s doubful you will find anything new. But hey, you may know something I dont so post it in the comments.

A is for Anglophile and for Ape Dos Mil (right click and save) a single off of their second album: Worship and Tribute
B is for Beat Scientific (right click and save) an old, now inactive and incomplete side project. Also, Brite One, DP’s rapping name
C is for Crohn’s Disease, the non-curable curse that haunt’s DP daily which causes cancellations and his affiliation with Cardboard City
D is for Debracadabra (right click and save) and The Directory, 2 side projects of DP and more notably, HA’s first album: Decadence
E is for EYEWTKAS (right click and save) (Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Silence), Glassjaw’s debut album on a major label (it’s also a song) and Elvis Costello, a major influence to DP
F is for French Television Dub (right click and save), a B-side off of Head Automatica’s Decadence. Also: Fadeaway Records, they put out 2 tracks of Midwestern Stylings officially (Acoustic and the Remix) (right click and save each)
G is for Godzilla. DP is obsessed with the green monster. Also, for his now-defunct side project: Geometry (right click and save) and more notably: his band Glassjaw. Also, G also stands for “Grave of the Fireflies” the original album named for EYEWTKAS.
H is for House of Blow, yes… another side project of Daryl Palumbo and Sean Martin of Hatebreed. MP3’s were promised “Spring of 2006″ but there aren’t any yet. More notably H is for Head Automatica
I is for The Impossible Shot, a rare, early cassette tape put out by The Glass Jaw in 1996. I is also for In General, another side project with members of The Movielife, Hometown Hero and Sons of Abraham. It’s described as “San Diego Circa 93 Style Hardcore” but nothing ever materialized
J is for Jordan. DP is a fan of Michael Jordan and even has a pair of tattoos of his signature symbol on each leg.
K is for Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, another early release put out by The Glass Jaw
L is for Long Island, the birthplace of Glassjaw
M is for Modern Love Story (right click and save), a B-Side from the EYEWTKAS days featuring Ray Cappo, featured on the Ry Ry’s Song UK Single and the Japan Import of EYEWTKAS.
N is for Nexlev (right click and save), a rare unreleased track off an early Head Automatica demo CD. It shares lyrics from a newer song of Glassjaw’s called Natural Born Farmer (right click and save). N also stands for Nike. Both of DP’s main bands have had shoes made for them by Nike (Glassjaw, Head Automatica)
O is for Oxycodone (right click and save), an unexpected B-Side released in October 2005 via iTunes on the El Mark Digital (EP)
P is for Popaganda, Head Automatica’s sophomore album due out 6-06-06
Q is for ABSOLUTELY NOTHING (nothing relates, maybe you can help?)
R is for Roadrunner Records which DP often cites as a horrible label, yet was involed in a project last year with them on this track: No Way Out (right click and save).
S is for Shoot Frank, ANOTHER side project collaborating with Cage Kennylz. This is also a song by Cage and DP. Shoot Frank (right click and save) Also,
Squeeze, a major influence to DP and Straight Edge
T is for Teeter, also for Thisyearsmodel (a band) and DP’s collaboration with them on their track Leopard Prints & Studded Belts (right click)
U is for United Nations, a grindcore side project with DP, Geoff of Thursday and others. No music has been materialized to date.
V is for Vinnie Caruana (from the bands The Movielife, I am The Avalanche), best friend of DP
W is for Weed. DP likes to smoke it now apparently and more notably: Worship and Tribute, Glassjaw’s sophomore release.
X is for XXX, Daryl’s old straight-edge way pre Head Automatica
Y is for You Do (right click and save), an early demo track recorded last summer and was destined for Popaganda
Z is for Zappa.. Frank Zappa that is. A major influence to Daryl Palumbo.
So that’s about it… haha. I hope you’ve learned something out of this post! Of course, I could add tons more (such as F for Finch and others) to other letters but I wanted to truncate as much of the information as possible.

Q is for Queens - ex Glassjaw guitarist Todd Weinstock’s hometown.
It isn’t EXACTLY DP related, but I hope this points you to new directions for “Q” :)

i would just really like to know about DP’s love life because he never says anything about it. sometime i hear he’s married, other times i hear he was like forever scarred by some evil girl, and sometimes i hear nothing at all. someone fill me in because i love DP.

let’s face it, the man’s sexy as hell.
and although it’s a shame he’s “bi” (and leaning towards men, i’ve been told) it makes things not so bad on the jealousy issue.
but i like “que sera” a lot.
(that happens to be one of my favorite lines)

you should update the house of blow entry, i think there already is an mp3 (i mean, you were the one who ripped the version i downloaded).
but in this case i have a question. on their myspace page the song is called “Afghani Black”, but the filename has no H. Did they change the song name later (after you ripped it) or was it just a mistake of yours?

Q is for Queen Bee from, Golgo 13 an anime favorite of Daryl Palumbo, but more importantly the Quickness, Daryl’s favorite Bad Brains album. He also sang backing vocals on a cover of Bad Brains’, Gene Machine with Alien Ant Farm.
