Word on the street says Larry Gorman, founder/drummer of Head Automatica, has been kicked out of the band, supposedly, by the hand’s of Daryl Palumbo.

This is the Legend of Daryl Palumbo. We have recently heard through the musical grapevine that drummer Larry Gorman has parted ways (for lack of a better phrase kicked out) with Daryl Palumbos’ band Head Automatica. Is anyone surprised that there was no formal statement made by the band?. We’re not, because that’s the way Daryl Palumbo wanted it. He didn’t feel it necessary for anyone to be informed of this news. Larry who was his friend/”brother” and former band mate of 6 years. Does that tell you a little something about Daryl Palumbo? It speaks volumes to us. So what will Daryl Palumbo tell his fans when asked what happened to drummer/ friend/”brother” Larry Gorman? Will he tell them how Larry has stuck by him for 6 years? Will he tell them how Larry stood by him while touring Europe with Glassjaw in early 2000-2002 when he had to cancel show after show and tour after tour due to his illness? Will he tell them that it was Larry and only Larry who was by his side at hospitals in London, Scotland and Paris? No we doubt that he will, but he calls him his “brother”. Do you know anyone who would do this to his “brother”? We don’t. And to add insult to injury where was his “brother” Daryl Palumbo when Glassjaw was in the studio recording Worship and Tribute and producer Ross Robinson allowed Larry to lay down all the drum tracks for the record and then brought in Shannon Larkin to record it instead of Larry. Wouldn’t a “brother” have stood up and said hey this is my drummer you either take him and work with him or we are outta here.
Dont you think a “brother” would have done that for you? We do.
As if that wasn’t enough Larry embarked on a new project with the illfated frontman and helped him form Head Automatica. That sure sounds like dedication to me. We’re sure most of you have read a recent article from Septembers issue of Alternative Press on Head Automatica oddly titled “Band of Brothers”. So what you call someone your “brother” in September and kick his ass out in October? Does that tell you something about Daryl Palumbo? It speaks volumes to us. So ok you may be asking well there has to be two sides to every story. Yes maybe Larry did have had a hand in his own demise but certainly not enough to deserve such a betrayal from one who claimed to be his “brother”.
Now we say to the rest of the “brothers” it looks to us like Head Automatica will become the next revolving door which used to be Glassjaw. If he can do this to Larry who will be next. So we wish you all the best… And to the new drummer we wish you nothing but the best and good luck because you will need it. And to Larry we love you and we wish you continued success in whatever path you choose. You will be missed.

why do we have to learn about news like this? there is NEVER any FUCING COMMUNICATION WITH THE FANS AT ALL! WHY DOES HA CONSTANTLY LET ME DOWN LATELY! BRING BACK GLASSJAW ALREADY. :(

Meh, Daryl’s always been a nice guy to me everytime I’ve seen Head Automatica and hung out with the guys afterward. Larry is so much more introverted and didn’t seem to appreciate the fans as much. :\

I feel bad for Larry, but maybe this will lead to the untimely demise of HA. As horrible as it sounds.. I just want HA to go away. I want glassjaw back and I’m sure A LOT of people agree with me.

Well I don’t wanna straight out say anything bad! But I was friends with Larry and played in a band with Jesse before he would end up getting a shot with “Head Automatica” I also was friends with the greatest booker of all time named Matt Galle when I was only 17years old. He turned me onto Glassjaw and booked all thier shows in the beggining! (i think they should thank his ass more) LOL
Anyways- Larry was the GLUE that held this group together! When I heard the news I was SHOCKED. They put on my old bassist (Jesse) and threw out the baddest most dedicated drummer of all my listening years!
FUCK SESSION DRUMMERS! Larry was more then a drummer he lived and breathed and backed daryl 100%

It’s a reminder to keep it humble and pop music is great but it’s never truely gonna make you happy! selling millions of records in my book now is a thing of the past not what i want as a future. I will continue talking to my fans and maintaining street cred thanks.
