In a recent article from “The Seattle Gay News“, openly bisexual Daryl Palumbo explains his stance (once again) on homosexuality (or bisexuality for that matter).

The gay-friendly band Head Automatica performs Nov. 18 at Roseland Theater.

The all-straight punk-pop group included a gay scene in its music video for “Graduation Day,” which was played regularly on Logo and MTV, and lead singer Daryl Palumbo stands behind it.

“For as lighthearted and as cheeky as it seems, with the gay flag and the boys kissing, I think it’s great! I think it shows the level we’re on. I wish all people could address it like that, rather than the way it seems to be addressed in our society—gay marriage, that is,” he told Seattle Gay News.

Furthermore, Palumbo states his support for same-sex marriage and criticizes organized religion for its nonacceptance of queers.

“If you’re gay and you’re in love with a man, who the fuck am I to tell you that you can’t marry him? If I fell in love with a boy, I’d fucking marry him!” he says. “I don’t know why it’s a problem for the Catholic Church. I’m Catholic, and I have no problem with gay people or gay men, being hit on by gay men or hitting on a gay man. I just don’t understand why someone would think that their opinion is enough to dictate what someone with a different lifestyle can or cannot do.”
