Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Silence (Clean Version)

Tuesday, February 6th, 2007, Roadrunner Records has digitally released Glassjaw’s major debut album “Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Silence” but with “clean vocals” through online stores such as iTunes.
After a quick review, it seems like this isn’t censored at all.
“Pretty Lush“, the word “whore” isn’t censored.
“Siberian Kiss” “bitch” isn’t censored
“Ry Ry’s Song” “fucked” isn’t censored
“Lovebites and Razorlines” “fucking, fuck, whore, cums, shit” isn’t censored.
What’s the deal Roadrunner Records?
EDIT: It turns out it’s an Apple iTunes Store problem. I e-mailed them about the problem and they responded with this:
Dear James,
I understand you intended to purchase the clean version of “Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Silence” but received the other version. The order containing this item is currently processing. Your request is flagged for follow-up and I will contact you once I have more information about your order. Please note that processing can take up to five business days from the date of purchase. Thank you for your patience in this matter.
Sincerely,
Ralph

Yeah, I was quite shocked to see it available as well. The market for censored Glassjaw isn’t a big one.
I’m sure it takes away from Daryl’s intensity, anger, and frustration. It’s definitely not how it’s supposed to be heard but I’m still anxious to listen once it’s available…and for collecting purposes.

My niece likes glassJAw, and though it is mostly because I like them, she’s truly found a love for their songs aswell. I’d like to buy a clean version for her, though. Just so she can listen to it meanwhile, until she’s old enough to actually understand what it all means. For now, she just really loves to sing along to them, so I guess the clean version is a little “nice”.

Starting the GJ Army young eh? That’s cool that it’s actually going to get some proper usage!
I was thinking about burning some copies for my religious family members! Hah.

My youngest nephew (5 yrs old) already hums to their songs, so that’s good. I dont know about handing them out to your religious family members, though. They might use the cd’s as frisbees or throw them to your face. hahaha.

My little bro (10yrs.) loves Glassjaw… although the lyric’s aren’t to clean he still sing’s to it. Sure my mom hates it but hey eventually he’s going to start cursing so why not now…..and to a kick ass band!
