Manny (current bassist of Glassjaw) has answered a few questions from a fan via the GJN forums. Here’s what he had to say.

- Has there been any song fully recorded yet? some other tracked?

Manny: We’ve tracked a few songs, just to hear them recorded, but we will have to re-record them again for the record.

- Any definitive song name?

Manny: Well, the songs you’ve heard live will still have those same names, and I can’t recall other song names, but I know that D has some in mind.

- Any producer chosen? is it gonna be self-produced?

Manny: I am probably not allowed to answer that question at this time.

- Is it gonna be out on Warner?

Manny: No idea.

- Any idea of cover art yet? (might be a bit too early for this hehe)

Manny: The spine of the CD will be a ruler, and the cover will be all of our cocks lined up in a row. I can’t guarantee that all of our heads will be visible.

- What do you think about music downloading?

Manny: I personally have no problem with it, but I’m the guy that will download something to hear it, and if I like it, I immediately buy the record. I know that a lot of artists don’t make much on record sales, and some are taken advantage of by labels, but I want an artist I like to have a great amount of record sales so that they won’t get dropped. Plus, a lot of musicians don’t get a steady paycheck. If I can help in any way, I will.

- For late night snack, tuna and mayonnaise or peanut butter and jam?

Manny: This may be the hardest decision ever on a tour bus. It’s all a question of whether or not I want something sweet, or something salty. Last night, Tuna won.

- Coke or Pepsi?

Manny: Coke, and I’ll tell you why:

I first switched from Pepsi to Coke, because I noticed that a warm Coke tastes better than a warm Pepsi. Pepsi tastes like water and packets of sugar. Boring. In comparison, Coke tastes like it has something extra in it. Like ginger, or something.

But ultimately, it doesn’t matter anymore. I gave up soda a few months ago.

- How many cups of coffee a day?

Manny: Well, even with the things I love most, I have to be smart about it. I have a Thermos that I fill everyday with coffee, and it keeps it hot all day. I have one small cup when I get up, and maybe one more later in the day. Never more than that. I’m trying to be a little healthier in my old age. tongue

Thanks Manny for answering these.
